“Aidilfitri” Healthy Cooking Class by Ms. Kher Pui Ling, NKF Dietician


In conjunction with the “Hari Raya Aidilfitri” celebration, the NKF Public Education Department (PED) collaborated with Bagus Academy Sdn. Bhd. on 2 August 2015 to organise the “Aidilfitri Healthy Cooking Class” at the premises of Bagus Academy in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya. They prepared dishes specifically for patients undergoing haemodialysis.

Three recipes were introduced: Chicken “Rendang”, “Sayur Lodeh” and Eggless Blueberry Tart. 30 participants from 5 dialysis centres participated in this cooking class.

Subsequently, a cooking demonstration was carried out by the chefs. When the demonstration ended, the participants were broken up into 7 groups with each to carry out hands-on cooking one out of the three recipes under the guidance of the chefs and NKF dietitian, Ms. Kher Pui Ling.
