NKF Lifecheck Health Screening

The Public Education Department continues to double its efforts in creating awareness and educate the public as the prevalence of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and kidney disease continues to rise. Efforts to reach out to the suburban and rural communities are constantly made to ensure that the message of early detection and prevention is spread pervasively.

Since the launch of the NKF LifeCheck Mobile Health Screening programme in January 2008, NKF has increased its resources significantly to promote the early detection and prevention of kidney and kidney associated diseases. With the setting up of our regional units in the Northern, Eastern and Southern parts of Peninsular Malaysia, we have been proceeding with our health screening and reach-out activities in the suburban and rural areas.

The NKF LifeCheck health screening includes:

  • Blood pressure

  • BMI

  • Waist circumference

  • Urine test Blood sugar test

  • Counseling
