This Basic Counselling Skills Workshop is designed for those who have a basic grasp of counselling skills and wish to apply these skills in a range of challenging environments. The workshop stimulates growth in knowledge, self-awareness and skills development. It aims to enhance participants’ ability to accurately empathize with their patients, developing and applying listening and communication skills.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the 2 day workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Demonstrate the basic skills for counselling 

2. Practice effective communication skills

3. Establish a trusting therapeutic relationship.

4. Apply effective counselling and communication skills to improve patient care.
