Exhibition and Roadshow

The total number of Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis patients in 2014 increased to 31,497 and 3270. In 2014, 61% of new patients had diabetes mellitus and 18% were hypertensive. Kidney disease, diabetes and high blood pressure are silent killers; therefore people need to be well aware on how to prevent these diseases. Hence, the Public Education Department has created a health exhibition team to educate the public on the importance of early prevention and awareness of kidney diseases.

The NKF exhibition team objective is:

  • To create awareness on the importance of early prevention and awareness of kidney disease and kidney associated diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

  • To promote health and wellbeing among adults, teenagers and children
