This Basic Counselling Skills Workshop is designed for those who have a basic grasp of counselling skills and wish to apply these skills in a range of challenging environments. The workshop stimulates growth in knowledge, self-awareness and skills development. It aims to enhance participants’ ability to accurately empathize with their patients, developing and applying listening and communication skills.

1. Mr. Loo Leong Heng

2. Ms. Wan Zuat Yin
Wan Zuat Yin (K.B; P.A) is a registered and licensed counselor. She holds a Master of Education (Counseling & Guidance) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) Psychology from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. She has working experience as counseling practitioner in academic setting. Currently, she attaches to the Management & Science University (MSU) as lecturer at School of Education & Social Sciences.
3. Dr. Ooi Boon Keat

Deputy Dean (Academic), School of Education and Social Sciences, Management and Science UniversityDr. Ooi Boon Keat’s area of interest is to understand the cognitive processing underlying learning and thinking activities that represents the individuals’ mental ability. His interest and work experience have left him keen in handling children with varied learning disabilities from generalised Learning Difficulties to diagnosed clinical deficits. Besides, he is interested in understanding the delayed developmental milestones and cognitive deficits that would lead to other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety among young people. He believes that the majority of mental disorders have been evolved from young age into later stage of developments with off course many psychosocial reasons.
4. Puan Nuraihan Muhd Noordin
Nuraihan Muhd Noordin has been a fulltime lecturer and tutor in Higher Educational Institutes for almost 10 years. She began her career as an educator at the International Islamic College for 2 years, after which she continued teaching at University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and subsequently at International Sedaya University. Currently, she is pursuing her passion at Management & Science University (MSU) as one of the lecturers in Psychology and Counselling. Apart from being an educator, she is also active in training and consulting as well as engaged in many local community activities. Her passion in wanting to see a healthy and meaningful lifestyle in a community drives her to continuously contribute to the public.
