Target Audience
Dialysis assistants and nurses who just joined the dialysis industry.

This course will develop skills, knowledge and attitude of the trainees which will make them a part of a safe, effective, efficient and caring dialysis team.

Activity Highlights: Visit to Water Treatment Plant Sg. Selangor Phase 2 at Bestari Jaya, Selangor

RM 2,500.00 (A non-refundable deposit of RM250.00 is payable within 14 days from the letter of acceptance from NKF)

The period of training is 3 months.

Staff Nurses

General Requirements (for all candidates)

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
  • Has a minimum of one (1) year working experience in a haemodialysis unit.
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB)
  • Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses
  • The candidate must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within ONE (1) month from commencement of the programme.
  • The candidate with any of the following medical conditions cannot be admitted into the programme such as: HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, mental health disorders, epilepsy and colour blindness.
  • The sponsored candidate must have full secondment and a form of endorsement from their employer, which must be attached with the application.
  • Self-sponsored candidates are also welcomed to apply.

  3. Care of Patient in Haemodialysis

Activity Highlights

As part of their training, the trainees will visit a Water Treatment Plant to get an in-depth view of water treatment as lectures emphasize the importance of water treatment in haemodialysis treatment.

Training Program

The course will be conducted on a full-time basis at the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKFM) Training Centre, Petaling Jaya.

A Certificate of Competency will be awarded to those trainees who have successfully completed the course and pass the examinations.
