The 18th Annual Dialysis Conference (ADC) was held on 11th and 12th October 2025 at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. To add pomp to the event, it was graced and launched by the Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad.
The conference’s theme “INNOVATE, ELEVATE, TRANSFORM” attracted more than 500 delegates. — embracing innovation in dialysis and transplantation, elevating standards of care, and transforming the lives of patients living with kidney disease. Chronic kidney disease remains a serious concern in Malaysia, with over 50,000 patients currently reliant on dialysis, and the number continues to grow.
The programme features plenaries, symposia, and forums covering a broad spectrum of topics, including the future of CKD and dialysis care, advances in kidney transplantation, green nephrology, vascular access, peritoneal dialysis, vaccination, and the physical, spiritual, and emotional adjustment of dialysis patients.
ADC 2025 aligns with a historic milestone — the adoption of World Health Assembly Resolution 78 (WHA78) in May 2025, which, for the first time, includes kidney disease in the WHO’s Non-Communicable Disease agenda. WHA78 emphasizes prevention, early detection, equitable access to treatment, and global collaboration, reinforcing NKF’s mission to reduce the burden of kidney disease in Malaysia and worldwide this year. NKF missions extends beyond providing subsidized haemodialysis care but also committed to prevention, intervention, education, research, and advocacy. Through collaboration with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry partners, to raise awareness and implement strategies that improve patient outcomes.
ADC 2025, play a critical role in enhancing the competence of healthcare professionals for continuous professional development initiatives. To complement the ADC atmosphere of talks, there are total number of 12 booth sponsorship from different vendors and also included two pop -up booths reserved for internal NKF Fundraising and Public Education Department.
