World Kidney Day 2023

The National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia, the Malaysian Society of Nephrology and the Health Ministry of Malaysia collaborated together to increase awareness among the public on the importance of early screening for kidneys.

World Kidney Day 2022

In conjunction with WKD 2022, NKF organized Inter-Universities & Colleges WKD 2022 Celebration. This event is a collaboration between the Malaysia Society of Nephrologist (MSN), National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Higher Education.

The World Kidney Day 2021 (WKD) theme was Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere – Living Well with Kidney Disease.

World Kidney Day 2020

World Kidney Day 2019

On 14 March 2019, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia organised the NKF Open Day in conjunction with World Kidney Day 2019 which promoted “Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere”.

World Kidney Day 2018

On 8 April 2018 at the Sunway Pyramid, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia celebrated the World Kidney Day (WKD) 2018 with the theme “Kidneys & Women’s Health: Include, Value, Empower”.

World Kidney Day 2017

On 18 March 2017, hundreds of participants, including health and cycling enthusiasts, joined in the last leg of the marathon cycleton of 30 kilometres at Taman Botani, Putrajaya to commemorate the World Kidney Day (WKD) 2017 with its theme of “Kidney Disease and Obesity”.

​On 12 March 2016, in conjunction with World Kidney Day 2016, the National Kidney Foundation, together with the Malaysian Society of Nephrology and the Ministry of Health jointly kicked of the World Kidney Day Family Walkathon.

In line with World Kidney Day (WKD) celebrations 2015 on 12 March with the theme “Kidney Health For All”, NKF too was involved by joining up with other organizations and management of shopping complexes in holding the celebrations at two places – Klang Valley and Penang Island.

World Kidney Day 2014 celebration at 1 Utama Shopping Centre on 16 March 2014 with theme “Kidneys Age, Just Like You”.

​It was a fun and joyous occasion as 4,000 people from all walks of life and background came together to celebrate World Kidney Day Run and Carnival 2013 at Dataran Putrajaya.
