WORLD KIDNEY DAY FUN RUN
The Ministry of Health (MOH), the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN) and the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) are organising a fun run to promote “Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere” for World Kidney Day 2020. Dust off your running shoes! Stadium Indera Mulia, in Ipoh, Perak will be turned into a festive racecourse on 28th March 2020 (Saturday).
This run for a reason includes a 5km Fun Run for general entries and a 1km Fun Walk for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients and caregivers. The honourable Dr. Lee Boon Chye, the Deputy Minister of Health will officiate this meaningful event and have a dialogue session with CKD patients to discuss their challenges.
CKD currently affects 2.9 million Malaysians. So, come show your support, one active step at a time. Sign up for this sporty, laughter-filled extravaganza today! A line-up of exciting happenings at the event for the public include lucky draw prizes, health checks and booths, and cooking demos.
Tickets are priced at RM38 (for 500 early bird participants) and RM48 (normal price) for the 5km Fun Run. A RM25 fee applies for the 1km Fun Walk (for patients and caregivers only). Interested parties can register via the JOMRUN App or contact Faizul at +6013-388 4094.
