This year World Kidney Day continues to raise awareness of the increasing burden of kidney diseases worldwide and to strive for kidney health for everyone, everywhere. Specifically, the 2020 campaign highlights the importance of preventive interventions to avert the onset and progression of kidney disease. The theme for World Kidney Day 2020 is Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere – from Prevention to Detection and Equitable Access to Care.

Due to Covid 19 Pandemic, NKF was only able to organise one (1) WKD celebration before the Movement Under Control (MCO) was implemented.

This WKD event took place in Alor Setar Mall on 7th March 2022. NKF-World Kidney Day 2020 celebration in Kedah was organized with the collaboration of Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah, Lions Club Alor Setar and NKF. This celebration was officially inaugurated by YB Simon Ooi Tze Min, Chairman of State Chinese and Siamese Affairs, Science and Technology, Climate Change and Environment Committee.
