Perform the social and financial assessment of new applicants for admission into the NKF Haemodialysis Programme.
Counsel patients and their families to manage and improve their emotional, social, psychological, physical and financial well-being.
Investigate and process applications for NKF subsidies.
Perform the yearly review of patients in NKF dialysis centres to ensure their compliance and update their current socio-economic status.
Organise the bimonthly meetings of the Patient Selection and Welfare Committee for formal approval of new applications and settle other issues related to patient welfare.
Network with relevant government and non-government agencies to assist patients with financial and other problems.
Support the activities of the NKF Patient Support Group.
