6.1 Physical Activity

Physical activity is equally important as diet in losing weight and maintaining good health. Just follow the simple rule, 80% food intake + 20% exercise = LOSE WEIGHT

However, if you are obese or with co-morbidities, you are advised to seek doctor’s plan for exercise regime that suits your condition.

Recommendations for Physical Activity

Objective Duration
Maintaining and improving health 30 minutes of moderate activity
Promote weight loss 45-60 minutes of moderate activity
Prevention of weight gain after weight loss 60-90 minutes of moderate activity
