Fundraising Activities in 2019

 

 

A WILD WILD WEST NIGHT OF CHARITY

On 16 February 2019, Mr. Chua Hong Wee, the Chief Executive Officer of NKF and Staff Nurse Noorhayati Bte Abdul Rahman from Pusat Dialisis NKF-Yayasan Pembangunan Keluarga Darul Tazim (Johor Bahru) received a donation of RM23,000 from Flexi Components Sdn Bhd. The money was raised during the Flexi Versa Group Annual Dinner with the theme “Wild Wild West”.

 

 

HARLEY BIKERS DID IT AGAIN (2 MARCH 2019)

As part of its continuous support for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia, the H.T.C Motorcycle Club organised a charity auction night in conjunction with its 6th Annual Dinner.
 
The benevolent bikers raised money for one dialysis machine which was placed in Pusat Rawatan Dialisis Tuanku Syed Putra – NKF (Kangar). This was the 3rd machine the bikers had donated to NKF.

 

 

NKF RECEIVED RM150,000 RAISED BY MWCMUA

On 22 March 2019, the Malaysia World Chinese Merchants Union Association (MWCMUA) organised the Hongkong Stars’ Charity Concert at the HXC Grand Ballroom of the Pudu ICC Kuala Lumpur.
 
The theme show was “Hongkong Night, Love For Malaysia”. Arising from the outcome of the concert, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia is truly appreciative of the gift of RM150,000 that MWCMUA had raised for the Foundation to pay for the dialysis treatment provided to poor kidney patients.

 

 

RM17,000 FOR NKF FROM STELLA MARIS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL BUKIT DAMANSARA (6 APRIL 2019)

After a 2.7 km cross-country run and a fundraising campaign, students and school staff of Stella Maris International School, Bukit Damansara, raised RM17,000 for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia. 
 
Such humane deeds had been carried on over the past years by the students and staff of the school for the benefit of poor kidney patients seeking dialysis treatment in the NKF centres. NKF greatly appreciates the sustained years of moral and financial support from the school populace.

 

 

SIXTH CONSECUTIVE “FROM GIFT TO GIFTS” CHARITY CONCERT FOR NKF (13 APRIL 2019)

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia received RM 40,000 from the sixth annual consecutive “From Gift to Gifts” charity concert organised by the Leo Club of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Damansara Jaya.
 
The concert had over the 6 years been under the guidance of the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya with the result that over that period of time RM240,000 had been raised to greatly help to lessen the suffering of the financially poor kidney patients dialysing in NKF.

 

 

FBC MOM POWER PRESENTED RM10,000 TO NKF

On 26 May 2019, NKF received RM10,000 from FBC Mom Power. Puan Sri Karen Lim as the Adviser and Dato Alice Choon the Chairlady of FBC Mom Power at a ceremony handed over a mock cheque for the amount to Mr. Chua Hong Wee, the Chief Executive Officer of NKF.

The hand-over ceremony came after the release of fishes by the duo into the lake at D’ Island Residence in Puchong to signify “life release”.

NKF graciously thanks FMC MoM Power which is a part of the Chi Bei Xue Buddhist Society for the gift in helping to elevate the hardship faced by the poor patients dialysing in the Foundation’s dialysis centres.

 

 

SHELL’S ‘ANDA PAM, KAMI DERMA’ CAMPAIGN RAISED RM428,388 FOR NKF MALAYSIA

On 20 August 2019 in Shah Alam, a total of RM428,388 had been successfully raised for the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) in a Raya charity campaign held by Shell retailers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan.

Shell Malaysia’s ‘Anda Pam, Kami Derma’ campaign was initiated in an effort to spread the spirit of caring and sharing during the balik kampung season. During the campaign period, 315 Shell retailers donated 1 sen (RM0.01) to NKF for every litre of petrol pumped at Shell stations in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

All funds collected from the campaign will go towards NKF’s efforts in supporting the underprivileged dialysis patients, as well as purchasing new dialysis machines for NKF’s upcoming dialysis centre in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
