The Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Education Centre, which is the first of its kind in Malaysia, offers a range of services to patients with different stages of kidney failure. For those with Stage 2 and 3 kidney failure, they will be provided with advice on dietary and lifestyle adjustments.
For more advanced cases (Stage 4 & 5), patients will be guided to dietary changes and to choose suitable kidney replacement therapy. Additionally, the centre will lend Glucometer and/or Blood Pressure Metre sets to patients (CKD Stage 2-5) for home monitoring, facilitating better health condition tracking.
Patients with CKD in both the early and late stages are welcome to schedule a consultation with our CKD nurse and renal dietician.
The goal of the CKD Education Centre is to provide patients with information and support regarding dietary and lifestyle changes, as well as to assist them in selecting the best renal replacement therapy (whether kidney transplant, peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis).
To make an appointment, call 05-3215921/05-3211120. A referral letter from a doctor/general practitioner is required.
